I can constantly tweak and retweak how my character is built.

If the situation calls for it, I can not only reorganize my skills, but also my attribute points. In fact, if I feel I've made a poor decision, I can simply move those attribute points to another location.

Since I've started my N/W, I've experimented with both Axe and Swordsmanship for weapon, and have tried out both Blood Magic and Curse Magic for a mixture of damage-dealing and healing.

Now, at Yak's Bend, I'm testing out a new build, and enjoying it.

Yes, I agree.
As an E/R I've been putting points in and out of beast mastery and various elementalist disciplines, and whenever I've spent all I can in the attributes I want I just dump the remaining couple of points into something else, knowing that I can get them out again easily when I want them later.
I love that I can pour the points into fire magic at the start, and then be able to take them all back out and focus on another element once I get some skills for it.

I totally agree. This is a truly great feature about GW. I've been know to not only customise my skill kits before a battle but also my attribute points. Different enemies require different tactics.

Ah, yes. But this is only realistically achievable now with the 24 points, whereas previously the ridiculously stingy 10 points meant you could be left with a char mid-transformation and have to go grind in order to get more points to finish the job.

I'd love to have even more freedom in this area, but I certainly can live with the improved cap.

Yeah this is great feature of GW.. one thing i would like to see is the removal of the 24 points so we can chop and change at will, the only reason i say this that if you want to do a total change test with your main then generally you use most of the points..if its a wrong change and your not happy, you then need to grind them 24 points back up again (yeah ok it doesnt take that long).

I hear the crys Exploit .. so i play a W/R and can change my set up from sword to bow in combat... well then just make the changes avalible in towns..

On the other side. you could make a pvp character and test the change you want to make..but thats no use if your making the change for pve, and if your main plays pve and pvp/gvg but with different setups..your in for alot of constant 24pts grinding..

Yeah, this feature is really cool. One question, at level 20, isnt it hard to get 250xp seeing as your at max level ?

Ahh so that explains why my refund points have been stuck at 24. I figured I'd keep saving up tons of points till level 20. Heck I should be re'specing now so I can try out different builds. Didn't realize there was a cap.

I have tried hammer, axe, and swords on my one warrior build. Its no big deal to change your strategy. In most other MMO's you would have to delete the character and start aaaallll over.

How do you reset the 24point counter? Do you have to gain a level to reset it?

Every 250 exp points you gain a new Attribute refund point.

I havent changed much my character ... I'm a Elementalist/Monk.

Is it me or do all Elementalists always lean towards Fire?

The first skills an E get are fire, and fire is probably the most efficient in PvE. As wellas the best for soloing. At later levels, in coordinated teams, and with PvP the other elements become more useful.
